Eve’s Garden believes that a little quality education can lead women towards living healthy, well-balanced lives. Our founder, Dell Williams established Eve’s Garden to help women find a specific type of fulfillment through proper education. Things have changed a lot since Eve's Garden first opened it's doors, but the importance of education hasn't gone anywhere.

Our health (both physical and mental), our relationships and our work-life balance all impact our quality of life. It's very important to care for yourself each and everyday. It's also really not all that hard. Here's how!

A woman’s body changes considerably throughout a lifetime. For starters, we navigate fluctuating hormones on a monthly basis. Oh and we birth children, too!

Making our physical health a priority is vital. We need to take care of ourselves. If we don’t, we won’t be able to care for our loved ones. "Put the oxygen mask on yourself first!"

A few healthy rules to live by:

  • Eat a diet full of whole, plant-based foods

  • Drink lots of water

  • Schedule annual physicals

  • Exercise

  • Go to bed earlier

Our relationships with our friends, family and significant others bring us a lot of joy and a lot of stress. Just being honest. Part of maintaining a well-balanced, healthy lifestyle is strengthening the bonds between yourself and your loved ones. They're your foundation offering you support during times of need.

A few healthy relationship maintenance tips:

  • Schedule a regular family dinner (weekly or monthly is great)

  • Connect with the community around you

  • Keep lines of communication open

  • Take a vacation with your mom, partner or friends to reconnect

Work-Life Balance

Americans work more than workers in other developed nations. We now work between 8-10 hours a day. There are also now more women in the American workforce than ever before.

We all have a life to balance outside of work. From family responsibilities to creative projects, it's your life outside of work that keeps you energized. A good employer understands that happy employees are good employees.

A few tips that'll lead you towards a healthy work-life balance:

  • Take breaks; even a 5-minute break will help you refocus

  • Leave work at work

  • Power down all electronics, at least, 1 hour before bed

  • Manage your time efficiently

Mental Health

Depression and anxiety are very common mental conditions that affect women at higher rates than men. A strong stigma continues to surround mental health conditions, but times are slowly changing. Many communities in the US now have access to therapists and support groups. Your mental health is just as important as your physical health and seeking help is okay.

Simple mental health maintenance tips for everyone:

  • Get 8 hours of sleep

  • Seek creative expression.. Art is great therapy!

  • Take care of your body by exercising and eating health

  • Spend time with loved ones

  • Practice self-care
